Welcome to Preferred Pediatrics, located in Fredericksburg, Virginia. We have two convenient locations to serve you. They are located in the city of Fredericksburg and Lee's Hill. Our physicians provide General Pediatric care for newborns to adolescents. We work as a team with the families of our patients in delivering the best possible health care to each individual. Most of our providers in our practice are parents of young children, and they all understand the needs of today's families.
The months of January, February, and March are now available to make appointments through our office.
Please be prepared to present your current insurance card and photo identification at every appointment. In addition, all patient information sheets must be updated every 6 months as required under the "Red Flag Rule" according to the FTC.

Seasonal and H1N1 Flu
As of 12/22/09, we are able to schedule appointments for all ages of the seasonal flu vaccine in both forms, the mist and injectible shots. We can also schedule H1N1 for 36 months and above. We have mist and injectable form available. We do not have H1N1 for 36 months and younger. We have attempted to contact every patient that is on our waiting list and at this time we will not be adding anyone to the list. Please feel free to contact our office to make a nurse appointment. Parents of current patients are welcome to receive the flu mist through our office for a fee of $25.00. We will continue to update our website on a daily basis with the latest information. CDC.gov website is also a good resource for the latest information on the H1N1 (Swine) and Seasonal flu. Listed on the side bar are Guidelines, Symptoms, and Prevention ideas for H1N1.

We are currently administering the flu mist for all patients the age of 2 years old or older. The flu mist can not be given to patients with respiratory disease (asthma) or chronic medical illnesses. For more information on the flu see the side bar under Flu and Influenza. We have provided questionnaires to help determine whether the Flu mist or Flu shot would be best for your child.
To serve the increasing demand for patient appointments effective November 1, 2009, we will be offering Saturday hours by appointment only at Preferred Pediatric locations. On Saturdays you will not be able to leave a nurse message. If you leave a message it will automatically be deleted.
We are open Monday through Friday from 9:00 to 4:30, except for major holidays. We also rotate clinics for urgent care with the offices of our colleagues Rappahannock Pediatrics, Chancellor Pediatrics, Kids Choice Pediatrics, and Pediatric Partners. Each doctor that is on call provides urgent care hours Saturdays 8:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. for established patients.

You can now refill your prescriptions online. Click on the Prescription Refill Form and include all information. Please allow 24 to 48 hours for our office to process the request. If medication is needed immediately call our office and leave a message on option 2 for the nurse.
